Classic Meditation Tibetan Tingsha Cymbals Medium 2-3/4"
These Tingshas are in a very classic Tibetan design with a smooth surface and circles on the top of each Tingsha. Tibetan Tingsha chimes are traditionally used by Tibetan Buddhists to mark the beginning and end of meditation. They're also used by a Buddhist master to bring a student back into focus when his mind wanders during meditation.
These chimes are handmade in Nepal of an alloy of bronze, iron and zinc. The sound is penetrating and purposely dissonant unlike the harmonic overtones of the Tibetan singing bowls. Measure 2-3/4" inches in diameter.

Today, many modalities include the use of these chimes for clearing spaces of unwanted energy, to begin and end yoga or other meditative sessions or just merely to enjoy the sound vibration they emit when played. Every chime has its own unique tone that produces every note in the scale when played.
ENJOY!
