"And the piece you're eyeing? It might have first taken shape in Colombia, where I spent a month honing my skills." ~James Storck
In his own words:
"Hello, my name is Jimmy. I am the creator of James Storck Designs.
My love affair with wire-wrapped jewelry began during my university days in Madison, Wisconsin. Craving a creative outlet, I found myself sketching pendant designs in lectures and working late into the night under a desk lamp.
This newfound passion soon blossomed, leading me to pursue jewelry making full-time after graduation.
While I loved creating, a yearning for adventure tugged at my heart. So, a year later, I embarked on a journey to teach English in China.
That brave leap across the globe sparked a lifelong love of travel. My backpack, along with wire, pliers, and gemstones, became my travel companions. Teaching fueled my passion by day, while evenings were spent crafting beautiful wire-wrapped jewelry.
James' travels have taken him across much of the world
This love of exploration continued after China. Over the next six months, Southeast Asia became my playground, followed by unforgettable journeys through Europe, the Balkans, and Israel.
Throughout it all, the joy of creating never left me, and each piece you see today might have been born in any of those incredible places.
In fact, my personal pendant, a cherished daily reminder, was crafted in a Cambodian hostel eight years ago.
And the piece you're eyeing? It might have first taken shape in Colombia, where I spent a month honing my skills.
It's a privilege to be part of Crystal Light and Sound. Here's hoping the positive energy I pour into my art reaches you, and that my story sheds a little light on the journey behind each unique piece."
